Get ready to be rocked by musical majesty

With a big birthday to mark, Attic Theatre has taken on its greatest challenge yet.  It is performing the musical We Will Rock You on the Arts Centre Stage.

The show inspired by Queen's music and written by Ben Elton is a far cry from a 1957 debut, when Annie Inglis gathered a cast for contemporary plays at Kaimhill School Hall.

Still headed up by an 84-year-old Annie, Attic takes the Arts Centre by storm with the West End hit, earning a standing ovation from the first night crowd.

With all Queen's classics played at full volume by an onstage band and sung by local musical theatre's brightest young talent it is a great celebration of 50 creative years.

Lewis Cradock as Galileo and Lynsey Duncan as Scaramouche, form an invincible backbone to the entire show.

Fantastic costumes, an awesome lighting display and 80 wigs complete the lookA fitting tribute from a fine company.

We Will Rock You is on stage nightly until Saturday.  Many performances are sold out.
