You know Christmas isn't far away when Attic's
panto opens.
Last night's performance of Cinderella
was particularly well trained - eardrum-splitting right on
cue and heckling without mercy while the plot thickened.
This year, David Johnston directs a talented
cast of endearing principals and hard-working chorus with
expert musical direction from Jean McLeod.
Cassie Connell is a charming, confident
Cinderella while Ricky Garden excels as a couthy comical Buttons,
revving the kids right from the start.
Unlike most pantos, this Cinderella gives you
two Dames for the price of one in the frighteningly
hilarious forms of Edi Hutchinson and Jack Christie.
Packed with all the right ingredients, this is
a colourful and imaginative panto that delivers traditional family
fun. The festive season wouldn't be the same without it.
Cinderella is at Aberdeen Arts Centre until December 23 and should
not be missed.
