The only qualification you need to enjoy an Attic pantomime are a
magic flag, a sticker and an ability to see it through the eyes of a
child.
Experts
at Christmas entertainment, the cast of this amateur group have led
generations children in the song, laughs and scream-along
formula that makes their particular show so invincible.
Working
his duck slippers off as the dame Widow Twanky is Ashley Walker who
pulled the cast through the usual first night hitches.
His
comedy sidekick, youngster Michael Barrie, grew in confidence as the
show unfolded earning his place as the childrens' pal Wishee Washee.
No
newcomer to the role of principle boy is Gayle Watt with a real
sense of style as Aladdin, calmly guiding her leading lady, Laura
Lamb, through her first year as an enchanting principal girl.
Alan
Duncan returns to the Attic fold as a wonderfully wicked Alan
Rickman-style Abanazer, while Thomas Forbes gives a light-hearted
portrayal of the Genie of the Lamp.
