THERE'S nothing like good old traditional pantomime for banishing
those winter blues.
Attic
Theatre's production of Beauty and the Beast had all the necessary
ingredients - slap stick, corny jokes, lots of audience
participation and, of course, the happy ever after ending.
Carol
Duncan and Denise Lang were colourful and comical as the nasty
sisters, David Fearns played a convincing Baron von Soda whilst
Stuart Youngson, as Bella the panto Dame, was simply
hilarious.
Debbie Boyd was a glamorous Prince Beaumont, with Laura Pike his
love interest, Rose, and on hand to watch over the proceedings, was
Fiona Cowan as the Good Fairy.
Tearlach Duncanson would knock spots off many a wicked wizard and
special mention must go to Alan Duncan, who as Jimmy Riddle, kept
the whole show rolling with pace and unfailing enthusiasm.
